Knot for Life

24 years ago Prem and Anju were wedded together in holy matrimony , blessed by God.I remember the day so well.

It rained that day and this morning also we had a nice surprise shower.

It was the only time I had a bath with ice cold water. We ran out of water and I asked a cousin to fetch me a bucket of water, he got me water from the ice cooler meant for Coke.AS I poured the first mug for the bath I screamed with cold. But it was good in the heat. Think he played a joke on me.

The present Bishop of the ECI church of North India, who was a pastor at that time said it was the first wedding he attended which had a distinct Christian spirit.

God bless you Prem and Anju and give you many happy years ahead.

Anju is indeed beautiful. And I have never seen such a tall cake, but I imagine there were a lot of guests who needed to have a piece of it! You have given them a lovely tribute, Amrita! I hope they have many more happy years together.

Dear Amrita,
You've had a lot of interesting blogs lately.
from wedding to burial, well drilling and my favorite; the T-shirt.
I am about to copy the text and the idea to one of my own.
Hope you don't mind.
I wish you well, praying for your health and your energy.
Do you have Ash trees in India?? I was out yesterday harvesting Ash leaves to boil a strong solution supposed to help against rheumatism and gout. It did in fact ease Gunar's pains last night.
Tonight I have been preparing dandelion tea for rincing the internal body.
God's nature sure has an abundance of gifts waiting to be harvested.
For now; all well to my Indian friend from

Lovely picture. It has been a week of dwelling on 'agape' love for me and it's been awesome seeing several blogs with the theme of love. May Prem and Anju be blessed with many more. And, dear Amrita, may you drink deeply of His love this week. For you have shown me what it is to love deeply.
Be blessed, dear sister-in-Christ.

Thank you dear friends.
Indeed Prem and Anju are a beautiful couple and their children take after them. They 've been salt and light where ever they have lived, India, Nigeria and now Canada.

After a few years Prem wants to retire from his job as a meachical engineer and join full time Christian service. He is doing a theology course on Missions.

Hi Felisol,I don 't know if there are ash trees in India? I 'll try to find out. Maybe they survive in the cooler climes.

Sita i am truly humbled by your comment. The love of Jesus is supreme.

Wow. That is a tall cake. There must have been a lot of people at the reception. I've never seen a cake with just a bride on the top. I had a cake topper made out of daisies put on the top of my wedding cake. I didn't want the traditional bride and groom figurines.
