The World 's Wildest Dog Chase

You must have watched "The World 's Wildest Police Videos" on TV. Read on.

Today after a re-run of a Noah-type deluge the sun came out and I quickly organized myself to drop off some letters at the post office.

As I was leaving the house Sheeba walked along with me to the gate (which is quite far from the house).I slipped out of the gate and ordered her to get back to the house.

After walking about a block in heavy traffic I discovered Sheeba was following me.This was the time when a large High School next to us was getting over and there were all kinds of vehicles on the street.I have never taken Sheeba out on the road without a lead, she doesn 't know how to behave on her own.She started dashing in and out of the traffic;jumping at cars, dodging motorbikes and rickshaws.I got so scared and nervous. In my mind I was singing the Requiem for her but shouting and shrieking like a banshee. She collided with a car and the driver looked at me questioningly ; I quickly apologized to him. The silly dog jumped into waiting taxis and rickshaws, she was having the time of her life...this was Disneyland for her...for me Dungeons and Dragons ( I hate that game BTW). But the funny thing was that many people were scared of Sheeba. She is the world 's friendliest dog and I always say that if a thief or robber came into our house she would welcome him with a bouquet of roses and lead him to the place where we keep our valuables.

Anyway after a good bit of ducking and dodging and skidding I got her back inside our gate and made sure she got back to the house.She could have got out through a small opening in the wire mesh in the gate or a naughty High Schooler bird watching near our gate opened it and let her out.Next time I will make sure she doesn 't follow me so far.
Here she is with Jimmy.

And the Left parties and other politicians in our coalition government are opposing the nuclear deal with the US and IAEA. Dear brothers the nuke deal will help us generate electricity.

What a picture you had going on my mind...Indian Funniest Videos perhaps?..I love it when you said she would lead them to your valuables with roses...I have told you I love your sense of humour, right? (0-;
I looked at Bride and Prejudice last night and had such a good laugh...such 'typical' characters in the mother and US cousin...my younger son came to see what we were looking at and proceeded to try the 'dance moves'..uh oh...anyway, glad doggie is back safe..actually glad YOU are back safe...are you sure no one captured this on film?...such a waste (-;
Blessings, dearie!

Disneyland for her, Dungeons and Dragons for you - I love that line! Sounds like she would get along well with my Shamgar - black and white Lhassa Ahpso. (spelling?) He has found a tiny loose spot in the fence which he squeezes through. Three times this week he has been brought home by neighbors, and we didn't even know he was gone.

I will pray for your dear sister, as well as for your friend. Hope your mother is feeling much better.

Hi Amrita,
I will agree with Sita - boy! What a picture. Sheeba and Jimmy are so cute! And I loved your statement about Sheeba being a true symbol on Indian hospitality!! Call the thief in and let him be comfortable with the jewels...ha...ha...ha!
Regarding the Nuke deal, I think things would not have come t pass like this if it was not Bush in the picture. Somehow, that evil satanic scar on the face of the earth seems to have coloured all our vision. I know the Nuke deal is about US and India and not India and Bush but for those who abhor Bush as I do and his evil father, The Nuke Deal has come to mean just that. An alliance with the devil.
In the meantime, we will all wake up to see that despite the signing we still have no electricity because it is being exported. Is that not what happened during the East India Company rule in India too - produce in India for foreign markets and let India Buy foreign goods if it wants to clothe its teaming poor. There are too many slips between cup and lip and Politicians are liars. They would sell their mothers to get something done "their" way.
