Red Tuesday

Yesterday my adopted sister Sonia arrived with her
son Abner
and husband.
So there is a lot of activity in the house.
Mama has perked up quite a lot.
She sat outside in the garden
after a long time ,instead of just sitting on the veranda.
At one time there were 9 people living in
our house when everyone was
alive or un-married.
We lived as a joint family.
When visitors came it was like a
mini-camp.But there
was room for everybody.
Even strangers recommended by friends or relatives
were accommodated and lots
of mission workers.
Abner made this card for
Grandma and Aunty.

This is beautiful, Amrita. I can just picture your house jammed full with family, friends, a little chaos and most of all, love! How good is our God, that He moved your mother with the light of a child - I am so happy for both of you!

Dear Amrita,
People need people.
People are more lucy when in contact with others, that's for sure.
The luckiest memories from my childhood is when our home was full of guests, and we even had a small family living upstairs as well.
Never heard any complaining on lack of space.
Now we sit in our giant houses and think they should be even bigger for visitors.
We fill our homes with things instead of love.

Good that you think different.
Good that you have place for young Abner. a really nice Ruby Tuesday drawing it was.
Wishing you all a peaceful New Year in the presence of the Lord.
From Felisol

Some of my most 'fun and cherished' memories are with a full house---family and friends with a shared history---nothing like it--
may your New Year be full of those so that your Mom will have lots of perked up moments and you can 'rest' a little easier..
Love, Sita

Dear Amrita.
Sitting here looking at your blog, it seems just like we are sitting at your kitchen table gazing outside at Abners's lovely scenery. The ruffled curtains and the wall paper are just choice.
I am glad that mama has perked up.
With all of the people that lived there in years gone by, the house must seem empty and lonely at times.
Felisol is right.."People need people"
Nice Ruby Tuesday Indian Princess..Love Terry

PS Amrita...I can't figure out how you did the first frame with Abner's cute face in it!
Tell me how, OK?
I am going to feature that Sheeba one of these days in a special blog..Maybe tomorrow because it is some special lady's birthday!
And this lady just adores doggies!

Dear Amrita
I just came by to beg Sheeba to leave the warmth of India and fly over to Texas for Mrs. Jim' birthday party.
I was so moved by the picture you have on the side of the young man from China.
I will be praying for him
Last night at prayer meeting the Christians were reviewing the year and giving the Lord thanks for several opportunities that He has given the last year of reaching people for the Lord in the year 2008.
Several months ago one of our young men who had trained and graduated to be a pilot was unable to get a job as a air pilot.
The Lord was behind this because instead of his dream, the Lord, gave Scotty a job of being a flying instructor.
There are many young Chinese men who have come to Canada to learn how to fly and several of these men as they read Scotty's life have become very interested in the gospel It was a happy day that seven of these Chinese young guys came out to a Gospel meeting and have come again and again.
One young man met the Lord and he says when he goes back to his homeland, he will take back with him the good news of Salvation.
I must copy this picture here and the boys name and bring it to Scotty. This is a good thing that you are doing Amrita.
God bless you..Love Terry
