रेड तुएस्दय Give me the Real Red

Summer is knockingat our door

but it seems

our garden is keeping
it at bay .

Soon the vivid colours of winter

will wither into summer drabness.
And it will time for us to wait for
the rains to arrive.

One of my favourite Bible teacher is Charles R Swindoll.
I have several of his excellent Bible study guides
which I received as free radio offers
as a young believer.
The following passage has been taken from his study guide called-
A Ministry Anyone Could Trust (based on 2 Cor)
"Like supermarket cereal Christianity (sometimes -parenthesis mine) is brightly packaged
and sugarcoated and enticingly offers free prizes on the inside,
we fail to see the fine print on the side of the box. And so we never
know about the empty calories we have eaten...or realize how malnourished we have become "
So Beloved, as Colossians 2:16 says"Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you with all
wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and
hymns and spiritual songs singing with thankfulness
in your hearts to God."
(NASB)

Dear Amrita,
beautiful summer roses in your garden.
We will not see those until Juli.

I do agree with you,
the Bible is our best and richest nourishment.
Leora sent me a link to a translation direct from Hebrew to English (old Testament that is).
I can send it if you want.
It is really interesting.
The English versions have changed a lot throughout the years.

Thank you for your sharing. I read several blogs that have convinced me that the deep desire to love & serve God & follow where Jesus leads is still very much alive. But i also read some where God is an after-thought: "Oh yeah, i want God to bless what i'm doing."

I appreciate you.

Sure Felisol sendme the link.

In July we won 't have these kinds of flowers any more. Its our rainy season and its hot and humid.

Thank you Kathryn. Building myself up in God 's Word keeps me on the right track.

I must add Felisol, I loved your comment on John Cowart ;s blog. The quote from John Donne was so heart warming.

Beautiful roses! Is it summer in your place now? Here it is winter, and it is a long time to wait for summer. But spring is coming, but not yet.
Thank you for telling me what to do
with my blog. I have reduced the publishing posts, and hope it will work.
Have a blessed day!

Such beautiful flowers. I won't have roses for a few more months now. Right now the snow seems to be melting which is making everything muddy!

I like your winter also, it is snowing and blowing here, can't wait for flowers.

A poll yesterday said it shows more and more people are giving up religion, I am not seeing that. Hopefully just the people taking the poll.

If not for God, then for who right.

Hi Amrita...our garden is waking up, it will briefly bloom, and then it will just die down and wait for the terrible heat and relentless sun to be over...*sigh*...

Got your package off to you, I hope it doesn't take too long to get there, there is a surprise inside!

Sweetie I spent a couple of hours and fine tuned the blog, try it now. The first time will be slow to upload images but then on it should be much much faster. I left a post with instructions to pass on as to how we did it.
Love you.

Hi Dame Penni, hugs to you,

Hi Donetta, you are so sweet and quick to respond too.Thank you for making your blog slow-connection friendly. Fewer posts per page really helps us.....otherwise it tkaes so long to load and sometimes the computer snags up.

Also opening comments in a small window makes it easier to comment as we have to click twice on the full page window and then if I want to go back to the main page i have to re-load the page again.

Those are real beautiful flowers.

It is very true dear, we interpret & bend the sayings of every holy book to suit our convenience. We don't even remember God unless we're in real distress.

Thank you Presh.

Iys wise to go after the auhentic stuff rather then substitues.

Hi Amrita :)

It is amazing to see the blood red roses. They are a beauty to behold.

The advice with that package of Kurkure is very inspiring.

Best wishes :)

Hi Amrita,
You have such wonderful flowers in your garden. The roses are so fantastic. I'm sure they are blooming so beautifully because of the love and care you showered on them just as those whom your life has touched are also blooming in the grace of God. Thanks for your post. God bless you always my friend.
