Any buyers for these ideas?

I 've got a cold and an itchy throat
so I wouldn 't mind having this contraption-
I might make it on the front page
of the newspaper too.

I can 't eat piping hot food -
so this will work for me.

Spreading butter would be so much easier.

Isn 't he cute

This is a real comforter

Now you cab catch your forty winks

while travelling in the metro.

The anti-splash umbrella.
_______________
Dear friends, I not feeling
too good I have a cold
and sore throat and the heat
doesn 't make it better.
On Sunday morning by God 's grace a
major fire was averted on our church campus.
On Sunday evening I went to visit
little Simran who got severely burnt
when she accidentally spilled hot tea over herself.
The poor child is suffering.
Please pray for her recovery and relief.
Her parents are far from God and living very irresponsible lives.
It is heart wrenching to see
their condition.
But misfortune and hardship is
finally making them to
see the light.
For the first time Simran 's mother asked me to pray for them
She used to mock God.
Now she is going to church
and sending her children too.
The door is opening a tiny crack.
Please pray for them
the parents are Bunty ( father)
and Shaloo (mother)
Simran (daughter 9)
and Babu (6)
I took them veggies from our garden,
cookies for the kids,
2 large bags of clothes
and a little money.
Its heart breaking to see
people suffer because
of the wrong choices they have made.
------------
I went to the district court
yesterday on church business.
Just got myself fried in
44*C ( 110* F) heat.
No air conditioning in the transport or buildings.
Then we had a Pastor 's family visit us
in the evening.
______________

This evening Aunt Maya came
wanting me to take her to visit
2 senior church ladies
who are ill and house bound.
We went to their place
to encourage them and pray for them.
Maya aunty wants to
spend the day with
us tomorrow and wants
me to help her with some bank work.
Not a very pleasing prospect in the
heat and with my cold.
But have to do it.
I get tired easily.
Say a little prayer for me.

I will post photos of the fire and garden later on.

I know that when I'm cold, it is well drink milk with honey and garlic.
I wish You a lot of health.

I'm glad your cold hasn't hurt your sense of humour! Great contraptions.

And, yes, we'll pray.

Amrita, you must sometimes tell people "NO!"

They don't mean to do it or see it, but you are being worn down with too many demands!!!

I hope you feel better soon -- you need rest, not running around in the heat and having to trouble your head with columns of figures!

Sweet sister, I'll pray for you---I felt the power of prayer today---it was so tangible!
Poor Simran--burns are so painful!...Persevere in prayer my sister...you may not see any visible results but the invisible is happening..I pray that God allows you to see the fruit your obedience in the lives of Simran's parents..May God cover you completely with His ministrations..
Love, Sita

I think the first 'idea' will go well with all of the spring allergy sufferers!

Praying for all of the needs you mentioned here today. And that you are over your cold post quick.

I promise to not complain that it's not warm here today.

Hugs ...

We just have to see that you are outfitted with the TP hat!

Sorry to hear you have the snuffles -- I know how miserable that is in that kind of heat. :(

My Mom got doused with a cup of boiling water once -- she had major burns and was not able to be up and around in regular clothes for weeks and weeks! Poor little Simran!

44 degrees celsius, wow, that's really very very hot. We are experiencing El Nino in the Philippines and we are averaging 36 to 38 degrees celsius and we are already almost fainting because of the excessive heat. I never heard of a temperature as hot as 44 degrees celsius except probably in the Sahara or Gobi desert. I'm sorry to hear that you have a sore throat and cold because of the excessive heat. I will pray for you Amrita and the poor souls you are ministering to. God bless you more for the efforts you make in spreading God's love and grace to the dispossessed. May your tribe increase. Thanks for the inspired post. God bless you always.

Amrita, this is my answer for Your question about magic realism.
It is trend in twentieth-century literature. In this kind of literature, the elements of "real reality" are connected with elements of human imagination, local legends, beliefs and tradition. Magic realism is sometimes called also surrealism - because it was originally born in painting. In book written in this convention can be for example description different and real communities, but described in (for example) very subjective or fantastic way. What is more, time in this literature is deformed - there is no sequence of cause and effect.
Magic realism is mostly connected with literature of multicultural regions - that is the cause, why in this trend folklor is so important.
This kind of literature is most popular in Latin America (for example Julio Cortazar, Gabriel Garcia Marquez)- where multicultural society exists very long time. But it is also liked in Poland, Russia and Africa.
It was very short definition, but I think that full :)
I greet You very heartly.

Hi Zimbabwe. Thank you for the explaination. I think I have read this genre of books. I have certainly read Gabriel Garcia Marquez and I supose Salman Rushdie also writes in this genre.

Your post about Christianity in Poland is very interesting.

I'm sorry you aren't feeling well Amrita. Hope you are doing better by now.

I can't believe what heat you are having! Does that last until the fall? It must be hard to cope with.

Hi Kathryn, we 've touched 115*. Gotta learn how to live with it. What to do.

Our hot weather begins in March and lasts till Oct. During the monsoon there is some relief.

I am feeling better now. Dealing with some joint pain.I use massage oil.
