I Long For

1. A problem free day
2. Someone to come and take over some of my responsibilities, even for a day or two.
3. That my ailing elderly relatives were problem free. An invalid aunt' s day nurse is giving her problems which is back firing on me. It is causing a lot of stress. This aunt thinks I am a fool . She is a manipulative , controlling person very difficult to deal with. She will depict the kindest person on earth as an ogre. Result - Tension & stress.
4. Cool weather.
5. Someone for moral and physical support. Sonia 's presence is a godsend.
In my worst moments I want to be like Noah' s raven who flew off into the unknown.
But in the middle of all this I have to focus on Romans 12:1
"Therefore I urge you brothers, in view of God 's mercy,to offer yourselves (your bodies)as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God -which is your spiritual worship."

The problem with LIVING SACRIFICES is that they are alive and want to wriggle off the altar. Please pray that I may stay on the altar ALIVE and KICKING. A dead one is of no use to God.

I got this cute video in my inbox which cheered me up immensely. This little fella is so much like my Jimmy. But Jimmy was long hared and snow white.

I am praying for you everyday my friend since I am well aware of the many struggles you are going through. We are weak and fragile by ourselves so we must turn over to God all our cares and burdens in life. God does not want us to carry all our burdens by ourselves. He wants us to turn over to Him our burdens and He will carry them all for us. He is our strength. He is our deliverer against all adversities. You become tired because you rely on human strength. We have to rely on God's strength by saying, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" (Philippians 4:13). I will keep you in my prayers. Thanks for the post. God bless you all always.

I am sure from what you are saying that at times you are weary but cannot yet lay down your burdens which is what I always think, I must live as long as I can. You have people who are far away who follow the pattern of your life and realize there are times when you have much to contend with. Our 110 degree heat will soon hit us full force, and I remember many times of not being very well cooled, not as well cooled as I am of the moment. Once when I had a swamp cooler I guess going in and out of the house so often gave me such an allergy attack I could not breathe without afrin to clear at least one side of my nose, or maybe it was something that grew out there. Many people suffer terribly from allergies, which I did, too, until I moved to the 9th floor here and now I am almost allergy free, so I can imagine how it drains you when the electricity fails you. In both my mother and dad's last days we sisters had an awful time with them. We had to put our mother in locked care center for the violent demented for a while. Then she finally fell down and broke her hip and from a wheel chair could not attack people anymore. She refused to rehab so stayed in a wheelchair until she died. I was so depressed when I came to look after my father and could just see my prison sentence stretching out for years. Well it was rough but suddenly ended with his fatal heart attack at 64, so my servitude on his behalf only lasted two years! I was delivered, and so shall you be I know. As you are a very giving soul, and I am sure the Creator knows your worth and is planning your relief.

O Amrita,
How real you are!
The way you approach the realities of life inspires me.
Thank you for not wiggling off the altar.
Your example makes me want to hang on a little bit longer too.

Oh, Amrita, we all have sometimes problems with faith and daily live. I pray for You and I understand Your feelings - I had problems with family too, but I know that love and patience can do miracles. Sometimes even this bad aunt or uncle need ours conversation with them - maybe they had some bad time in their live, and this is the cause of it? Maybe she has some wound in her heart?
But I understand, that You are really tired.
Is Jimmy Your dog? This video is funny :)

Thank you my dear friends for your understanding words and prayers.

Sometimes when you try to find a solution for someone and they refuse it or resent it, you feel so helpless.

My aunt is lying on her bed of misery and refuses my intervention. Others may misunderstand and feel I am not doing anything for her.People are quick to point fin gers.

Yes Zimb., my dog was named Jimmy and he dies 3 years ago.

He is a cute dog. I've always thought Corgis very cute. Your must have been darling.

I'm sorry that you're having so much stress. Wish i could do something to "fix it" for you. But i can pray. And i'm so glad that you've internet friends to talk to, anyway. If you were in this situation 20 years ago, i think it would have been much harder.

So, i want to "fix it" & can't. But i can pray. And always be thankful that we've met & can share. Sending you hugs.
