Bodily Woes and Research

My poor cell phone shots of the wedding fireworks. The fireworks are brilliant actually.
There are several of them going right now.One tries to tune out, what else can one do. Sometimes I get the feeling I am living on Wedding Planet. A Shangri La where everybody rockets to get married. You have areas designated for each religion ,( also atheists), race and nation. You can take your pick from wedding packages ranging from multi millionaires down to homeless people. But you have to come 'down to earth ' for your honeymoon.
My imagination is running wild, so I better put an end to this.
Thank you for your prayers and good wishes. It is such a comfort to know people are praying for you. I slept peacefully last night.
Today I prepared a dressing of Sophramycin cream and Nebasulph (zinc powder) and mama stuck it to my back.
Tonight when I changed the dressing I found the boil has drained out quite a bit. So I think the worst is over. Although it will take a few more days to completely drain and dry.
God is very good to me. His healing is coming to me.
Its a staph like infection and once I get it , it goes on and on.It resurfaced after last November.
================
I can' t help but mention 2 news items I read in my papers today.
BEWARE OF YOUR COMPUTER-it can make you fat. Researchers at the Copenhagen University say that staring for a long time at a computer screen can make people crave for sweet treats like chocolate cake and biscuits. Can you believe that?
Another headline screams cruelly- BIG HIPS IMPAIR WOMEN 'S MEMORY. This is the prize result of research by Northwestern Medicine.
Was Shakira right when she sang 'Hips don 't lie '. I don 't remember.
Don 't take them seriously ladies. If this was true I wouldn 't even remember my own name.
But after reading this I want to herd all these researchers into a subterranean lab and lock them up there! LOL.

i am certain that MOST marriages are not so different than the fireworks. Noise, flashes of bright light, and amazing color, for a time. After, a lot of smoky haze and the cleaning up of the streets.

Couldn't help but laugh at the first part of your post about weddings and honeymoons.

I love your sense of humor.

Glad to know you are better... here in our country we have two medicinal trees, I am sure you have them there as well. Just crush some leaves and stems and apply it as a poultice over your boil. It always works. Always. It is every effective for bathing our pets when they have skin problems, and humans too, of course.

Its native name here is Madre de Cacao or kakawate, but its scientific name is Gliricidia sepium or St. Vincent's plum in English.

Here's the link

Read up to the end so you will know how the plant is used.

P.S. The other tree I failed to mention is the ordinary guava tree. The leaves are crushed then boiled for one or two minutes, and the water is used to wash the boil or wound. It is a natural antibiotic.

Is there a local newpaper or magazine you could write for? If so, you would be read by many and enrich each of their lives. You are a natural born writer.
I'm glad you are feeling better...I continue to keep you in my prayers.

What about some neem leaves stuck onto the boil area?

Keep up with the antibiotics! Staph infections are so stubborn.

Your post is exceptionally witty today! I laughed and laughed at your line about your hips and your parting shot at the researchers!!!

Thank you friend s, you are too good to me.

Iam moving forward.

Lidj, we have guava trees near our house I shall try this.

Holly I know about neem and we use neem paste as antiseptic. Dried neem leaves are used to keep bugs etc away from storage boxes and cabinets.

In the village, in which I live now, today was the funeral - I could hear the bells from the big church in the neibourghood. Few days ago there was funeral too (in this village there are many elder people) - Your post about wedding is so joyful. I didn't see anywhere fireworks because of wedding. I'm very happy because Your peacfull dream.

I am so sorry about the bereavment in your Polish village. Its so sad to bid the elderly goodbye. I 've attended several funerals this year. For my mother it is very stressful and un-nerving to bid adieu to people close to her age.

Dear friend s please remember me in prayer. I am still in pain and at times its hard to bear it. We are having visitors in church tomorrow , I have to manage it.

You need a petty good camera to do justice to fireworks!

You could have tried the remedy in Isaiah 38 verse 21.

Grace be with you!
