But we have this treasure...

My friend Holly has a stunning collection of

autumn necklaces on her blog. She makes them herself.

Each on is really unique.

Have a look at HOLLY'S CREATIONS HERE

I enjoy peanut butter and I make my own from scratch, as the store bought one is quite
expensive.

I made a small pot yesterday. I grind the roasted peanut and mix the powder with refined vegetable oil, salt and black pepper powder, honey and roasted sesame seeds. It has a nice flavor. My blender does not grind the peanut very fine, but I don 't mind.

I want to make some with garlic and cayenne pepper. I think it will go well with our Indian whole wheat flat bread (chapati) and fried poories. I love peanut butter and jam sandwiches.

Which flavor peanut butter do you like? Can you suggest some flavors I could try at home?

I like to collect glass jars. I don 't have many, but whenever I see something unique I like to keep it. Many of my jars and bottles have been given to me.

I got the peanut butter pot from Aunt Virginia' s pantry.Got some Bell and Mason jars too.

My mother bought the cookie jar from a missionary sale years ago. Its a vintage piece.

The Bible says that you and I are treasure holding jars

But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. 2 Corinthians 4 ;7 (New Testament)

Many years ago I ate the slice of bread with peanut butter - but t wasn't good. Maybe after years it is better - I should try :) I bought today in the shop hummus - this is cream made from sesame. Maybe it will yummy, maybe not, but I think that we should taste everything in our life :)
Autumn necklaces are so lovely!

Hi Amrita:)

Many thanks for introducing Holly and her lovely collecting of necklaces.

I wish I could taste some of the pea nut butter although I am not a butter eater.

I have seen people collecting coins, stamps and plates but this is the first time I have come across a person collecting lovely jars. This is something interesting and new to me. It is good to a hobby like this.

Have a lovely day Amrita:)

Dear Amrita,
You are a lady of many skills.
I admire that.
Your homemade peanut butter sounds delicious.
I don't care much for the peanut butter I buy in stores. Too much sugar, to little nuts.

Today Serina and I visited a confectioner and bought homemade cookie made of dark Belgian chocolate and salted peanuts, no flour or anything added.
Divine taste.

I'm not a fan of peanut butter, but the boys are. Maybe I should try making my own peanut butter. Has to be healthier than even the natural stuff in the store.
Hubby and I made ghee the other day though. Now I'm on the lookout for glass jars to put the ghee in because it seems like everything comes in plastic jars.

Her beads are lovely. I love peanut butter, it is so healthy for you but I have only had homemade once. I might have to try it.

Dear friend s I enjoyed reading your remarks and comments.

Another reason I make peanut butter at home is that its healthier. I use refined veg. oil instead of butterm peanut oil is also healthy and honey instead of sugar.

I tell you Holly 's creations are really unique.

Hi Madison, I also make home made ghee whenever i have cream. Its good with dal and chappatis. I am sure your husband enjoys this taste from home.

Dear Zimb. I have made hummus at home too, with chickpeas etc.I love it.

These glass jars are so exotic and are veritable works of arts. Peanut butters here in the Philippines are mostly sweet and creamy. Filipinos have sweet tooth that is why almost all foods taste sweet like pork and beans which are sweetened unlike the American version. You can add guava jelly or pineapple jam with your peanut butter and they will taste divine. Thanks for the post. God bless you always.

peanut butter on chapati is one of my favorite breakfasts. but i don't make my own peanut butter. nor do i put cayenne and garlic in it -- but, hey, i'll give anything a chance...

Your peanut butter is a wonderful gourmet creation, Amrita! Here we can buy smooth peanut butter, crunchy, and some with honey. We can also get tahini, which is the sesame seeds made into a paste. There are almond butters and cashew butters, but they don't, in my opinion, taste much like the nuts themselves, and are very expensive.

I make fried banana and peanut butter sandwiches -- pan fry the completed sandwiches in butter on both sides. I love peanut butter.

Thank you for the mention!

You never know what you'll get next on your blog!

The scripture also speaks of "a vessel to honour, sanctified, serviceable for the Master". That is a challenge.

Dear Brothe r David Brown,
My blog is pretty hotch-potch, lik e they say in India- isn .t it? Ha-hA.

Yes I want to be a vessel fit to be used by the Lord.

I love that you collect glass jars Amrita! Your home made peanut butter is great-does it keep fresh very long? Do you keep it cool or on a shelf? Thank you for all you share with us about your life Amrita, you are a blessing!

Hi Robin,, good to hear from you. I store the peanut butter in the fridge. It won 't last very long outside. You kno w my Mum loves it and every evening she has an extra chappati with it, she usually doesn 'rt snack otherwise. Today she was telling me, look I am finishing up the peanut butter. I said go ahead and finish it i will make more for you. I am glad you are enjoying it.
