I know where I am going

Trust in the LORD with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make your paths straight Proverbs 3 ; 5,6

God has been good to us. We had to make some tough administrative decisions regarding our church ministry. God gave wisdom, courage and determination for that.

If I had a choice I 'd be a follower rather than a leader, but if God has given me a responsibility I will fulfill it to the best of my ability.
My friends thank you for your prayers and kind thoughts.

I have not been too well, I have a cold and sore throat, but I am managing with pills.
(Update on Tues AM - Not feeling well at all)

I will have visitors through the week.

Many of my friends have come to the city to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Christian Agricultural and Technical University. Two brothers who were very close to our family visited this evening . Mom and I were so happy to meet Alan and Tigi
We talked of about old times and missed those who were not present. They chatted with my sister Namrita on the phone. We have so many happy memories. Time when I was relatively carefree and healthy.

We praise God, He has been good to us and both these brothers are doing very well at their jobs and also sharing God 's love in practical ways.

Life real and sculpted.
The next two photos were taken with my mobile phone on an impromptu encounter with an ikka -horse cart in the market place. ( I don 't carry my digital camera with me at all times)

Ikka means one -a one horse cart. They can only move on a few roads in the city.

The horse looks well cared for.

The next three photos are from a photoblog. This is a life like sculpture of a tonga
somewhere in Delhi.
Here is the tonga wala and a lady passenger. The girl looks a bit lost, but the driver appears very confident. "I know where I am going ," he is saying, that 's why I gave that title to my post.

Its a very dramatic and expressive work of art.
One wonders what kind of conversation is going on between the driver and passenger.

Even the horse wants to put in a word edgeways.

My dear friend Holly took a blog break and is back to sharing her vintage creations again. She shares very attractive graphics which you can download for free. This cute image is from Holly. She also creates beautiful jewellery which you can order from her Etsy shop. Holly has gifted me with her pretty creations and lovely surprises and also my doggie bayti Sheeba.(Bayti is Hindi for daughter) Pay Holly a visit HERE

I also want to introduce you to Doris 's excellent blog. Its a boon for care givers . Her gentle heart warming posts encourage me so much. I am learning a lot from the way she deals with residents in a nursing home. Drop by and visit Doris HERE

Oh, I loved the sculpture of the horse, his passenger and driver who does look confident. In the horse age there were a lot more sculptures done of them in the US, but not now. I am hoping you are feeling better. I like to go see the blogs you recommend. Now I note that the Norwegian lady is having to take sick leave, but she left a beautiful entry. I put her on my blog list. I also always like your photos you take around your city.
I am glad you are enjoying visits of relatives and friends.

You were destined by the Lord to serve Him and spread the Gospel message in your locality that is why you are suffering from so many trials and pains in life because you are hurting the cause of the enemy. The enemy is well entrenched in India and the few Christian souls who are making inroads there for Christ are feeling the backlash from the enemy. Someday your star will sparkle luminously in the firmament of heaven and you will hear the enthralling voice of the Lord saying to you, well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful in the ministry I gave you, come now and enjoy the good things I prepared for you in My Father's house. We also have horse carriages in some parts of the Philippines but the horses have built in collector for their refuse so that the streets will not be littered by horse dungs. Thanks for the post. God bless you always my venerable sister in Christ.

Dear Amrita, did you get the email note I sent you? I offered to give you a free copy of my book, since we have been blog friends for a couple of years and I think my book will lift your spirits. My book is about how to celebrate Christmas simply. Leave me a note on my blog if you would like a copy, my gift to you.

I like the picture of the horse and carriage. Not a bad pic from a phone camera.

We in Cracow have horse carts too. They can be only in the area of the Old Town, but in practice I sometimes see them far away from this district. Sometimes they are so cute - like these on Your photoes.
Congratulations for Your friends, and of course - praise the Lord!

Hello Amrita,

Greetings and good wishes.

Thank God you have responsibilities on your shoulders. These responsibilities give us a purpose and meaning to our lives.

I am sorry to hear about your ailments.I pray for you to get well soon.

Good to have old friends dropping in.They refresh our memories of good times we enjoyed.

Very interesting photos.Horse driven carriages are prohibited in Kochi. But I remember traveling in them when I was young and also when I worked in Bilaspur,MP.

Best wishes,
Joseph

I'll be looking for Ikka carts next week - I'm on my way back to Andhra Pradesh, if the Lord will, tomorrow. Don't think I've seen horses round there.

Kepp going the Lord's way for you!
