Sunday Blessings -A Mini Christmas Story

Inspired  by   my  friend  John  Cowart  who  made  a video called Christmas  in  a Tin Box ,  I  made  this  video which  could  be  called Christmas  in  a Cardboard  Box with  the  help of  a creche  sent  to   me  by   my  Texan friend Holly.

Jesus  was  born  among the poor, the  hungry, the  disadvantaged  and the  unloved. He came to an ordinary family among  ordinary people. He came as a Saviour- on a rescue  mission to redeem and to liberate.
Prayer
God,which makes  us  glad  with  the  yearly  remembrance of  the  birth of thy  only Son Jesus  Christ; grant  that as we  gratefully receive  for our  Redeemer, so we  may   with sure  confidence behold  Him  when  He  shall  come to be our  judge,  who liveth  and  reigneth forever.
( Collect  from the  1549  Prayer Book)

Many people believe in Jesus, who is only little child or suffering man on the cross. But our Lord is today King. This King knows poverty, hunger, pain. He is near for us.

Merry Christmas to you and your family Amrita. Christ came as a baby, but paid a high price for our salvation.
Such a lovely gift from your friend.

Hello Amrita,

Very inspiring story for Christmas. God sent many prophets to redeem mankind but all of them were killed and persecuted. Finally, God sent His only begotten Son to save mankind. He took a human form, born in this world like millions of poor children, was brought up by loving parents with meager means, grew up in Godly ways, preached the message of Kingdom of Heaven, worked miracles to convince unbelievers but in the end he was brutally tortured and crucified.

But unlike other prophets, Jesus built a strong net work of illiterate fishermen and others who preached Hia message and sacrificed their lives for the sake of Christ. Many, many, many devoted people followed them and sacrificed their lives. Even recently a nun was murdered in Jharkand,India because she worked among poor adivasis for improving their living conditions. She belonged to Vazhakala Parish close to my own parish.

Thus Jesus left of band of people to give up their lives and made sure that His message is not forgotten by the world with his terrible murder.

God's kingdom will slowly but surely prevail in this whole world in the end.

Wish you and your wonderful family a lovely Christmas season.
Joseph

Dear Amrita,
How I love to hear your voice. It's such a well articulated, musical voice.
I love your Christmas story. This is exactly how it all begun, a child was us born a son was us given.
Hallelujah.
