To love. To be loved. To never forget your own insignificance. To never get used to the unspeakable violence and the vulgar disparity of life around you. To seek joy in the saddest places. To pursue beauty to its lair. To never simplify what is complicated or complicate what is simple. To respect strength, never power. Above all, to watch. To try and understand. To never look away. And never, never, to forget. - Arundhati Roy

Very wise words and some that I could learn to heed... thanks for sharing dear Amrita...I pray you are well and God's comfort is with you...God bless.

Amazing thoughts. Arundathi has been involved in so many social causes whereas others of her stature would have sat back and enjoyed life and pursued their writing. But Arunthadi is made of different material. She has compassion for the poor and suffering especially the athivasis.

I was inspired by this quote.
Best wishes,
Joseph

Dear Amrita,
Sometimes we also need to rest in the arms of the Lord.
"Never will I leave you nor forsake you."
At least this is how I feel. My Mom has been in hospital for a week. She is suffering and bewildered.

Yes Felisol, resting in the Lord and surrendering to GHim is what we need to do. Sometimes I thrash and churn around trying to find a way of escapre, but i need to rest.

I am so sorry to hear about Mother. I will keep her in my prayers. May the Lord grant healing and strength
