A Woman of Strength

This evening I got a call from
my dear friend Monsoon Dreams
It was lovely talking to you MD
The article below really touched my
heart and I want to share it
with everybody.
I copied this article from Sherri 's blog called Matter of Fact. I love reading her posts.

A STRONG WOMAN VERSUS A WOMAN OF STRENGTH A strong woman isn't afraid of anything...A woman of strength shows courage in the midst of fear.A strong woman won't let anyone get the best of her...A woman of strength gives the best of her to everyone.A strong woman makes mistakes and avoids the same in the future...A woman of strength realizes life's mistakes can also be God's blessings and capitalizes on them.A strong woman walks sure footed...A woman of strength knows God will catch her when she falls.A strong woman wears the look on confidence on her face...but a woman of strength wears the look of grace.A strong woman has faith that she is strong enough for the journey...But a woman of strength has faith that it is in the journey that she will become strong.

  6. Dear Amrita,
I sure wish I was a woman of strength.
Some days I fear I'm neither.
Then I think I hove no other hope.
for my future then hoping to become ...a woman of strength. It has to be His strength, not mine.

  14. Hi Amrita :)

    Excellent and inspiring post.

Two great ladies come to my mind immediately.

Margaret Thatcher was a strong woman and Mother Teresa was a woman of strength.

You can see the difference between these two outstanding ladies. Margaret was called the IRON LADY and Great Briton did well under her. Now I wonder how many people in UK even think of her. Mother Teresa built institutions with love which will last as long the world rotates on its axis.

Another strong woman I can recall is Indira Gandhi. She was called the ONLY MAN IN PARLIAMENT.

Come to think of it there are more strong women than women of strength. Kiran Bedi is another strong woman.Goda Meir is yet another strong woman.

I suppose millions of women struggling every day to look after a family, showering selfless love on people around her, taking insults and ingratitude in their stride, toiling round the clock to ensure everything goes smoothly in the house and who believe in God to give them strength to do this monumental thankless job day after day are all women of strength.

    Have a wonderful day :)
