रेड तुएस्दय - Aaron 's Rod Blossoms

Although the real Aaron 's rod flower does not look
like this, I am presuming these to be this is my garden version of it.
In the Old Testament story found in Numbers 17;1-13, Aaron 's rod blossomed to indicate that the tribe of Levi was chosen for priesthood.

Happy that my doctor pronounced my blood pressure to be normal

when I went to see him yesterday.

It was such a relief that my BP measured normal I was quite worried. It was quite high last time I had it checked.Since the past 3 years I have had this problem.Stress brought it on. I can keep it down with diet control.
I take black sesame seeds soaked overnight - with water first thing in the morning. Its good for cholesterol too. Also have 3 glasses of water first thing in the morning. And in my food, whatever I am cooking I tip in a teaspoonful of roasted flaxseed. Those are good for all kinds of things.

  10. Dear Amrita,
    beautiful flowers from your garden.
I think the pink ones are known as Garden Poplar Roses here. My mother is a true queen growing them.
    Also like your new header.
Silk, laces and velvet combined. Like a dream of beauty.

  14. Beautiful flowers! Our flowers are trying to bloom, but we actually had an unseasonable snow storm just last weekend, right after the start of spring! So we'll see what happens when the weather warms back up. Spring is overdue!

  15. I might have guessed that flower was a hollyhock, but then again, I'm not so good with names of flowers:-) It's lovely, Amrita.

Rejoicing with you for the good news about your BP. I have that problem, with high cholestrol, too, but didn't know about black sesame seeds. I'm taking flaxseed, and just bought lecithin granules to add to my food since it's a fat emulsifier. Hoping this will help me, along with fish oil capsules.

Blessings to you, dear Amrita. ♥

  16. Hi Amrita :)

I'm glad to hear your blood pressure is normal. Thank God.

I think your tip on drinking water in the morning will be useful. I want to try it for at least one week and see.

I note you have changed your profile photo. You have become very young and sweet :) May be this is due to drinking water in the morning and having normal BP :)

Have a nice day, Amrita :)

  24. Hi Amrita,
I will pray that your BP will normalize and that you maintain a healthy body, mind and soul. Just focus on the fact that healing is with the Lord. By the stripes of Jesus you are healed. Amen. Remember, we are the temple of the Holy Spirit and we can pray that the Holy Spirit will correct all imperfect conditions in His temple. Thanks for the post. God bless you always.

  28. Hi, Amrita,
You are very creative, your new profile photo looks lovely, and your blog layout is beautiful. I love the photos of the flowers, hollyhocks and amaryllis, and also the lilies that look like the ones I have in my garden. Glad your bp is normal. Yes, I drink water first thing in the morning, too.

Best to also have half a lemon or lime in the water, and a pinch of salt. This makes the water alkaline, to neutralize acidity in the GI track. Do you have virgin coconut oil in India? It is good for high blood pressure.
