It is with deep grief in my heart that I tell you that Aunt Virginia went to be with the Lord early this (Sun July 4th) morning. Now she is resting peacefully free from all her struggles.

The whole day friends and family visited and paid their last respects.

We had the funeral at 5 pm.

My sister Sonia and BIL Avinash came from Lucknow.

Do remember our family in prayer.

Safe in the arms of Jesus,

Safe on His gentle breast,

There by His love o'ershaded,

Sweetly my soul doth rest.

Hark! 'tis a song of heaven

Borne in the sweetest voice,

Echoed by saints in spirit,

Making my heart rejoice.
Safe in the arms of Jesus,

Safe on His gentle breast,

There by His love o'ershaded,

Sweetly my soul doth rest.
Safe in the arms of Jesus,

Safe from corroding care.

  4. Dear Amrita,
My deepest sorrow for your and your mother's loss.
I am so proud of you, my friend, that you stood by to help, support and ease your aunt's burdens, also when she felt all alone in the world.
You fulfilled your race along her side.
May you feel God's rich blessings for what you have done.
May he strengthen you with his special love and fellowship these days.
    My deepest respects,

  9. At least your Aunt V had a good long life and is at peace now. You did all you could for her and can be easy in your mind. But I know it's still a sad time.

  14. Sympathies with you - but what a position for your aunt:

"Asleep through Jesus" - blessed state!
What power from Thee can separate?
Not death nor life, not land nor sea,
Can come between Thy saints and Thee.
