Travelling through an Indian city

This  video  was  made  my   family  friend  David  Phillips. Its  a  ride  through  the  busy  streets  of  our  city. You  will  see  vehicles of   all   sorts  vying   for  space  together  with animals.  Modern cars  and  horse carts  nudging  each  other and  an  elephant ambling along. In   the beginning there is  a  clip  of  his   wife  in  a   modern  confectionery.  The chocolate  donuts  cost  Rs  40 a  piece ( 80  cents)  He takes us  to  the  fruit  and  fish  market  also. Pretty   graphic.  The noise ,  confusion  and  colour  will  grab  you.
See  various  worlds  and economies  converge,  merge   together  and  flash past -
Modern - ancient
Rich - poor
Human - animal
Slow -  fast
Like  a  mighty  river  full  of  all  forms  of  life.

 Enjoy!

  2. Indian cities looks very various. Elephants and motorbikes go through streets. In my city it isn't met - maybe only in Old Town, where tourists go by cabs.

  4. Oh my, I don't think I could drive in India Amrita; it looks very confusing for sure. But everyone seems to do just fine. :)
But I would love those chocolate donuts and would enjoy going to such a nice market. Thank you for sharing this and may God Bless!

  5. There is a doughnut store a block from my building. Doughnuts there are 99 cents US. I try not to stop in very often, but they are so good.

  18. I came by to visit here, hoping to see a new post by you, which would mean you have power. But no post. I hope you do have electricity; it sounds hard to have so much of India without power. Take care, dear friend.

  19. I am wondering if you have been affected by the blackout. In the meantime I enjoyed this video of the streets with cows walking placidly along not at all bothered about being part of traffic and being honked at, gently I might say. Nor did the elephant seem perturbed about where he was either!
