Our foes strengthen us

As  the  work  of  God  progresses  in  my  church our  foes  have  trained   their  arrows, bullets ,  clubs  and  axes   (figuratively speaking) at  us. This  month  is  critical  for us.  Please  remember  us  in   prayer.
The  following  article  which  I   found   on the blog
SIMPLY DIVINE LOVE  affirmed my  trust  and belief   that  God  is  with  us and He   is  fighting  our  battles
Strengthened by Your Foes

Pastor Adrian Rogers

“Only rebel not ye against the Lord, neither fear ye the people of the land; for they are bread for us: their defense is departed from them, and the Lord is with us: fear them not.” - Numbers 14:9

Joshua and Caleb faced formidable foes in the Promised Land, and yet what was their response to their enemies? “They are bread for us.” (Numbers 14:9).

What is bread? It is the staff of life. What happens when you eat bread? You are strengthened by it and you grow by it.

Paul also faced formidable foes. He wrote, “For a great door and effectual is opened unto me, and there are many adversaries” (1 Corinthians 16:9).

Why isn’t the door to victory easy? Because if it were easy, then you would become weak in your effort to work out your faith in God. God places obstacles in your path to give you strength. “Wheaties” is not the breakfast of champions— giants are. God wants you to feed upon your difficulties and depend upon Him to make you a conqueror.

What does it take to strengthen your body? What does it take to build your intellect? What does it take to grow love in relationships? Work. Read Philippians 2:12-13 and apply it to your life today.

“They are bread for us.” This is a terrific perspective, Amrita. Keeping you in my prayers.

Dear Amrita,
When Jesus is making progress the enemy will but up a battle to destroy. "But fear not, I have conquered the world," Jesus said. In fact, it's an evidence that your church is on the right way when the evil attacks you. "Fear not," Jesus said over and over again.
Praying for you and your church, for protection, for faith, for prosperity.

Hi, Amrita! Thanks for coming over to my place! It's a good thing that you included "figuratively", as the visual image was pretty exciting!

Your church is very often present in my prayers.
My pastor signed me as the main redactor of local church newspaper. I had an idea to write about church in the world, because no everyone has access to Internet in my church. I want to write among others about persecution, but there are special news service about it, but I can translate it to Polish.
Can I sometimes write about Your church? If I'm not wrong, is it also Protestant (Baptist) church?
Heartly greetings to You, dear Amrita.
