Soul Giggles

There is all kinds of soul giggles
for the mind and body
Got the mind/heart dose first
Oue church odd-jobs man came around this morning and told my mother that there would be a
"mating"
in Aunt Virginia 's(elderly widow) house and we are invited.Further investigation revealed that it is the cottage prayer
"meeting"
So this evening Mom and I are going to this
"mating" oops "meeting"!!!
I made semolina/molasses pudding or
Gur ka halwa for tea today
Cook the semolina in a syrup of molasses and garnish it with dry fruit.
My Internet connection is very bad today. I 'll post the picture as soon as it improves.

What a giggle I got from that! I'm hoping you are feeling much better. From scanning your previous posts, much has been going on in your part of the planet. A great coming together of Christians ... but also much turmoil. I would love to visit Prince Edward Island too! Anne was a favorite 'window friend' of mine years ago ;) Hugs from the North Woods {{{hugs}}}

Dear Amrita,
Hope you'll have an interesting mate-meeting in the cottage.
Who know what will turn up.
I remember from my youth a seminar title;
"Dare great things for God,
expect great things from God."
You've certainly done the first bit, so now is the time for the great expectations.
God bless this week-end for you and your Mom.

Hi Amrita,
How are you? The weekend was hectic, with my friend visiting from Shimla. But the joy really was in having meals with another human being around. Eating is such a social habit.

We bought a nursery rhyme DVD (recorded in Bangalore) for my daughter some while back and the first rhyme was Baa Baa Black Sheep. It was sung and pronounced as follows:

Baa Baa Black Sheep
Have you any wool?
Es sir, Es sir, three bags full.

That's the south Indian accent for you.

"Enger brether" is a another commonly heard phrase: "younger brother".

Dear Amrita,
just dropped in to tell, I'm thinking of you and praying for you, your mom,
your Church, your country.
Best wishes from Felisol

Take my hand
Precious Lord, take my hand
Lead me on, let me stand
I am tired, I am weak, I am worn
Through the storm, through the night
Lead me on to the light
Take my hand precious Lord, lead me home

When my way grows drear
Precious Lord linger near
When my light is almost gone
Hear my cry, hear my call
Hold my hand lest I fall
Take my hand precious Lord, lead me home

When the darkness appears
And the night draws near
And the day is past and gone
At the river I stand
Guide my feet, hold my hand
Take my hand precious Lord, lead me home

Precious Lord, take my hand
Lead me on, let me stand
I'm tired, I'm weak, I'm lone
Through the storm, through the night
Lead me on to the light
Take my hand precious Lord, lead me home

Hekko friends, I 'm back on planet earth again...meaning since the past 8 days i was without my Internet connection and telephone. (Just had my cell phone)

I had to try very hard to get my connection restored. There was a major underground cable fault and it took ages to put it right.

Ha, ha, ha, See what a small twist in pronunciation can do? I thought you were invited into some animal experiment in breeding. Thank goodness it was just a meeting. Thanks for the hilarious post. God bless you always my dear friend.

Felisol said...

Dear Amrita,
good news that it was only a cable fault that kept you away from the net.
I actually was a bit worried.
Have a blessed Sunday.
