These are realistic cakes made by Debbie Goard of the San Fransisco Bay area.
They are just too good to eat aren 't they?
I like the burger and fries. Which one would you like to order for your birthday?

Hope I have not insulted the artistic sensitivities of millions of people who view my blog.
And I hope I won 't be blogging from Guantanamo Bay shortly.
I am just trying to laugh at myself .

For he will command his angels concerning to guard you in all your ways; they will lift you up in their hands so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.Psalm 91;11,12 (New International Version)
On her way to church my mother again had a fall.
It was not very serious, she just sank down on the steps as she could not negotiate the high, uneven steps.
Our church steps are about 200 years old, built for strong British soldiers who could scamper up and down (it was a Garrison church)
The aging members of our church find it difficult to climb up those steps.
When the Lord will enable us, we will fix them or build a proper ramp.
No bones broken, but pretty shaken up .The angels were there to cushion her fall. Please pray for my mother, she is not eating properly and that is causing her to become weak.
Sometimes the sky looks very dark
This morning before leaving for church I was listening to a Christian Radio Station and there was a song by 'Children of the Day 'called"For Those Tears I Died" I just started crying as I listened to that song.I used to sing it ages ago with my sisters and it really wrapped itself around my heart as I face my daily trials.
Jesus wept so that he may wipe away my tears
He died so that I may live
Everyone who is hurting or facing a difficult situation take courage.
From the mid 70s to the 80s there was hardly any Christian music available in my city. I used to listen to missionary Radio stations.
They were my daily sustanence - food water and air.
FEBC - Manila Philippines
FEBA - Seychelles (Indian Ocean)
Trans World Radio - Shri Lanka
TWR - Agana, Guam
SLBC - Shri Lanka etc
Family Radio (North America)
I learnt all my songs from these broadcasts.
Spent all my free time trying to record songs on a little tape recorder and play the tapes over and over again to transcribe the lyrics.
I spent a major part of my pocket money writing to the radio stations.
Most of the time the reception was not good enough, and I couldn 't decipher the words, but I just kept going.
I learnt this song that way.
It is like a cool drink for my thirsty soul.
As a Post script to this video I must add that a friend told me about Marsha Stevens, the woman who wrote this song and is singing in this presentation. She has fallen away from the Lord and no longer upholds Biblical morality or values. I don 't subscribe to her present music or teaching. But there is a lesson to be learnt from this. If you are faithful to the Word of God God can use you as His instrument, the moment you turn away from Him you can be anything you want.

61%How Addicted to Blogging Are You?
Not bad I should say.Blogging has added a lot to my life. But sometimes I feel like a frog in the cyber world as opposed to a frog in a well.Which has resulted in a huge Internet bill which I really can 't afford.Gotta slow down.
A request to my Indian blog readers. Please can you suggest ways to keep the bill down. I subscribe to a BSNL home connection.Does YouTube increase the bill?
Sunday Confessions
Insecurity and an inferiority complex can lead to a mental bloc paranoia, mistrust and unreasonable behaviour, .I 've also indulged in it , but God has set me free from it and I witnessed others going through the pangs yesterday. I had to be a toe stomper and a peace-maker.
Please pray for a situation in church where people are afraid of sharing our campus with the AG church. On Friday Sept 21st we will have business meeting with both church leaders and our lawyer to draw up a lease contract. Pray for the Holy Spirit to rule over the meeting.
I 'm planning to serve sherbet and cake to give a sweet flavour to the summit. Ha...ha...ha.
Thank you friends for telling that Word Verification is really worth the fuss.I am much more patient with it.
A BIG THANK YOU TO DONETTA who nominated me for the You Make me Smile Award.

This is called real tubing. A friend emailed me this photo. This could be the aftermath of the rains in Mumbai (Bombay) which flooded many areas.Look at the helpless man standing outside the door.
Maybe they were inspired by the community Roman bath still prevalent in some parts of the world. They have the soap and water just need towels.

My friend Janet wrote on her blog about her Mom 's cook breaking chairs because of her large size.
Yesterday I went went to a salon to have my eyebrows done and this richly endowed, wealthy lady was having her body waxed.Every time the beautician pulled the wax cloth off her arms the poor gal 's chair (adjustable kind) would sink lower. And we all gasped, but the lady had a good sense of humour and she didn 't mind. She was well aware of her magnitude.
I am not making fun of overweight people because I battle with the bulge too, its just that all this makes life more colourful and musical.
My friend Kate tagged me for 8 facts about myself, so here goes...
1.My birthday is on August 1st.
2.During my early teens I liked wearing boys clothes, like jeans and shirts.
3.I like savoury snacks more than sweet ones.
4.When I was born,my Dad 's workmate who was an astrologer predicted that I would learn the English language very well. Well I have a Masters in English Literature, but I 'm not sure if my English is noteworthy.
5.I learnt German in school.Got a prize for pronunciation. A German nun taught us.Sister JoAnna was a very strict lady, still remember her draconian rules.
6.I like international accents. My favourites are Irish, Scottish and German and of course Australian. When I speak to people from other countries I tend to switch on their accents, (not entirely tho).
7.I like fashion jewellery. A whole load of my jewellery was stolen from my apartment when I was teaching in Woodstock school. Now I 'm into hoops, danglers and earrings with crosses.
8.I wear a mix of Indian and western clothes, so my clothes don 't wear out easily. I like cotton fabric. Synthetic clothes make me hot. Silks and synthetics are for cooler weather.
