Sunday Blessings - You Have A Voice

Last week we had our Friday Fellowship Meeting
in our home

There was a time of worship, prayer
and a message from the Pastor.

Milka always smiles at the camera.
A church worker carried Aunt Virginia from her
house to ours .
She has been immobile since January '09
after hip surgery.

Mama listening intently
I took a video of the prayer time.

When you speak the truth you are God 's ambassador

As you steward the money He gives you are His business manager

When you declare forgiveness you are His priest

As you stir the healing of the body or the soul

you are His physician

When you pray he listens to you

as a Father listens to his son

You have a voice in the household of God.

I desire to transform this blessing in my daily prayer

A Franciscan Blessing
May God bless you with discomfort at easy answers, half truths, and superficial relationships, so that you may live deep within your heart. Amen.
May God bless you with anger at injustice, oppression, and exploitation of people, so that you may work for justice, freedom and peace. Amen.
May God bless you with tears to shed for those who suffer from pain, rejection, starvation and war, so that you may reach out your hand to comfort them and to turn their pain into joy. Amen.
May God bless you with enough foolishness to believe that you can make a difference in this world, so that you can do what others claim cannot be done. Amen.
And the Blessing of God, who Creates, Redeems and Sanctifies, be upon you and all you love an pray for this day, and forever more. Amen.

back to Amrita!

Lovely to see you again and lovely to read that prayer.

After a long time, I posted on a controversial subject, I know you would not like to read or comment. Yet, may I please urge you to?

Dear Amrita,
thanks for sharing from the bottom of your heart.
May the Lord reward you and your richly for being so giving of the spirit and fellowship of your congregation.
I thin your mother looks much better now. Your aunt is still sturggeling.
I'll pray for the three of you.
May the Lord keep his saving and healing hands over you now and always.
Amen

Dar friends,
Thank you for your responses.
We are blessed and privelleged to have God 's people in our home.
At one time my home was almost like a house church and crisis-help center. We dedicated it to the Lord to be used like it.

Yes my Mother looks well. She is eating better.

Julia your post was very thought provoking.

Hi Amrita:)

I admire the courage of aunt Virginia to come for the prayer meeting in spite of her inability to walk.

Your mother seems to be quite absorbed in the proceedings.

I liked the Franciscan prayer particularly the part saying---MAY GOD BLESS YOU WITH ENOUGH FOOLISHNESS TO BELIEVE THAT YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THIS WORLD.

You have a lovely house too.

Have a nice day Amrita:)
Joseph

dear amrita...what a peace is filling my soul as i am listening to the music while i am typing.
i had to warch it twice.
what a a peacful home you have and sheeba is such a nice doggie, lying there as quiet as can be.
if i could, i would pick up aunt virginia right up into my arms and bring her home with me.
what a little doll she is and mama is so darling too amrita!
what i like to see here too is the many bibles and the praying preacher.
the women are dressed in modest apparel with their heads covered...this bring such glory to god.
the men are dressed befitting to the lord who they consider the king and the chidren...what can i say..so well behaved.
thank you so much for this amrtia.
i realy wish that you would put this video on to pigrim pals for lords day, would you...it is perfect...love terry

so sorry your lights are out...
