Sheeba likes to sit on this window sill
catching the warmth of the winter sun and the cool
breeze of summer.
From here she keeps a watchful eye
on the activities of the backyard.
She sleep there during summer nights too.
In order to get to the window seat she has to
hop on to a steel trunk and
then climb on.
Sometimes while jumping onto the trunk
she misses her footing and falls back
because there is not much space between my bed and the trunk.
It happened this morning and she hurt
her chest.
Now I know what was causing the pain and shivering.
She must have hurt herself .
I have make sure she has ample room
for her launching trajectory.
Our neighbour 's dog is digging up our vegetable garden again.
We keep losing many plants this way.
They don 't like it when we shoo him away.
Why doesn 't he dig up his own garden
15 Fertilize my soul:
Send Sheeba over to dig up theirs...see how they feel about "shooing" dogs away then.....
Good idea Nina, but Sheeba 's not the digging type.
Hi Amrita:)
Greetings:)
Your Sheeba knows how to enjoy her life. She is very cozy and comfortable. It was wonderful of you to be very observant about Sheeba's method of jumping because you found out how she got hurt.
I wonder if Sheeba will chase the neighbors dog or perhaps she is very friendly. It would be good idea to talk to your neighbor about their dog's mischief.
As regards the wedding in my post, it took place on Jan.24th, much before the lent started. I only posted it now. Even here no Christian marriages take place during lent.
Have a nice day Amrita:)

i am so ready to come over there and build a dog proof fence around the plants.... ( if only...?)
Sheeba has a wonderful perch there in the sunshine. a perfect spot!
Yes! You need some sort of fence around your garden, or neighbors with better manners!
love story's about any animal,
sheeba is beautiful,
Not sure what to tell you about the other dog tho, cause one of mine goes next door to eat the trash, lol

When we get older we just don't jump as high as we use to. Sheeba I understand - getting old stinks.
Keep your chin up and your paws clean and if that doesn't help bite something.
Your Sheba is such a great dog. I remember the photo you once posted of her after a mongoose.
We had a black lab also named Sheba; she lived with us for 17 years before she died. I miss her.
basking in the sunlight!wow!seeing her snap i was wondering how long it has been since i could rest like that without worries.hope sheeba is better.may be you can place a smaller trunk too so sheeba can climb easily.
i am fine, amrita.going on with life.yet to adjust with my loss.
Hopefully Sheeba will soon recover from her injuries.
I've said a prayer for her as well.
I think God, who cares about sparrows, even more will look after your beloved Sheeba.
I have many good ideas about what to do with your neighbors and their dog. Am not sure God will approve.
Better pray about that too.
All good to you and your family, Sheeba included, from Felisol
Oh David that 's my dream wish, but I have other priorities first.
Hi Ron (Old Geezer) thank you for your visit and comment. Your blog is such a pleasant place to visit.
Doesn 't bother the neighbours Josephji.
Hi Amrita,
Such a pleasure reading about Sheeba. Poor dear! Had a bad fall is it?
Now, the other possibility to look at is: maybe the neighbour's dog is in love with Sheeba and digs up the garden to find her? That silly dog!

Sheeba is a faithful dog who watches over your property. She loves to perch at the window sill to keep watch over any intruder to your yard. Too bad she hurt herself when she fell while attempting to land on the window sill. You have all the right in the world to shoo away the dog of your neighbor who keeps on digging your vegetables in your garden. Not only is it doing harm to your crops, it is also trespassing in your property. They have no right to complain when you shoo away their dog. You should be the one to complain to them because of the mischief their dog is doing to your crops. Well, maybe they don't like you because of your religion. Thanks for the post. God bless you all always.
