Ever experienced walking down a pathway and you suddenly get hit by a low hanging branch or you foot pierced by a cruel thorn?
Well. I have.
Offenses and criticisms sometimes knock us down as surprise punching bags when we are working out in the gym of life.
We can either let them tone our spiritual and emotions muscles
or knock out our breath and leave us permanently damaged.Watch this excellent video on the subject of handling offenses
8 Fertilize my soul:
I have been hit by those surprise attacks and have responded in many ways....sometimes the wrong way and sometimes the right way. I can give witness that loving the offender and forging him/her is always the best way! It is a balm to your soul and gives your heart pure joy. May you have blessed Sunday!
Many hugs...........
Diane
yep...it's true..it happens...good message. Hope your weekend is going great.
Yes, sometimes life's trials can knock us down like some unseen branch that whams us in the face or an unnoticed piece of sliver wood piercing our foot. Both gives us discomfort and pain but both are starkling reminders for us to be always careful and on guard in our lives. Just like what we must do against the wiles of the enemy. Thanks for the post. God bless you always.
Me, too, and I don't always react very well. Take good care and know that you are in my prayers!
You are a better person and a stronger one than me Amrita. Your blog is always full of love and hope. I don't often leave you a comment as I am too glib a person and it is not often befitting for me to put something here but I wanted to say that I really appreciate your friendship and your comments. If I hadn't met you I wouldn't have wandered over here and I wouldn't have learned to be kinder or more open to beliefs as I have since I have known you.
You have been good for me Amrita and so I thank you.
As for knocks. Well, you have to get back up don't you? Sometimes it's harder than other times but one thing is for certain. Knowing you have friends helps hugely.
Warmest wishes
Carol
They sure can knock the breath out of you - those low hanging branches & surprise punching bags! I can testify to that and so can everyone else no doubt. Isn't it such a paradox that the only way to build spiritual & emotional muscles from these kinds of experiences is to let go!
Have a blessed week sister!
