Tent(ative) Housing

Sorry folks this is not a self portrait.

"we know that when these bodies of ours are taken down like tents and folded away, they will be replaced by resurrection bodies in heaven-God-made not handmade-and we 'll never have to relocate our "tents" again.Sometimes we can hardly wait to move-and so we cry out in frustration.Compared to what 's coming, living conditions round here seen like a stopover in an unfurnished shack, and we are tired of i! We have been given a glimpse of the real thing, our true home, our resurrection bodies! The Spirit of God whets our appetite by giving us a taste of what 's ahead. He puts a little of heaven in our hearts so that we 'll never settle for less.

That 's why we live with such good cheer. You won 't see us drooping our heads or dragging our feet! Cramped conditions here don 't get us down. They only remind us of the spacious living conditions ahead. It 's what we trust in but don 't yet see that keeps us going.Do you suppose a few ruts in the road or rocks in the path are going to stop us?"
The Message 2 Cor 5; 1-7

Got my cholesterol report. Normal level 200 mine 's 244.2 . Doc 's prescribed me pills which pulled the rug off under my feet because they are so expensive. $ 2 for 10 of them and I have to take one a day. Extra weight on my pocket and mind. But I 'm going to take herbal medicines and switch to a low fat diet so I guess I'll be OK.my blood pressure and sugar level is OK...thank you Jesus.

Hi, Amrita -

Sorry about the bad news from the doctor. That sorts of herbal therapies will you use? Does the doctor think you will need the medication permanently, or just until the cholesterol comes back down?

Hi Kate, I 've started on a pill called Cholicheck and a herbal tonic for the heart. I will take garlic pills. I am taking 5 curry leaves in the morning. They say onion juice is good...I can 't have that, so I 'll have raw onion with rice and dal.Herbs like Triphala, Arjun and guggul are good so I 'll take those.
At the moment the doctor has given me a month 's prescription, hope its not life long. We have heart problems in our family.

Hi, they say laughter is the best medicine and if you laugh hard enough, you get an abs workout.

Sorry to hear about the cholestrol levels. I have heart disease in my family, too.

Voting for the Seven New Wonders of the World now. Taj looks beautiful. And l see that it's built around 1630 A.D. That says a lot to me.

Hi Amrita - I've enjoyed reading your posts - it seems like my life has been so busy, it's been a little difficult for me to write much on my own blog or leave comments, but I want you to know how much it means to all of us to have you praying for our friend Arlene. God is mighty and awesome and we are believing for her healing!
I will be retiring soon, and I hope to have much more time to become a better blog friend...just know I am praying for your health and appreciate you so very much!
