Music , Food and Bloggie advice

Uncle Anthony, a retired machinist, came to visit us

yesterday from very far away . Let me

tell you that in India, Uncle and such terms are used to

show respect for people (he is not a relative).

Anthony and his wife Mary were raised in a Catholic orphanage.

They were our friends from a very young age and my

parents mentored them on various issues like family life,

and education.

About 30 years ago my parents shared the Gospel amd Mama
gave them a Bible.

They had never heard of the Gospel message as the traditions of their

church overshadowed it.

They were thrilled and accepted Christ.

Although they were friends with their mother church they started having fellowship with believers.

Now they are grandparents and their

2 sons and daughters in laws have good jobs.
Daughter Anju, named after my sister is
married to a Pastor and she herself is a preacher.

Uncle Anthony is a self taught muscian and after
retirement he is using his skills to glorify God.
In his neighbourhood they have evening worship meeting daily.
People gather in various homes to sing praises to God.
They prefer this to cable TV.
Anthony is a part time music teacher in a
non-Christian music academy.
He asked permission to use Christian songs in
his teaching and the management allowed him to do that.
Everyone enjoys songs based on the Word of God.
Mama and I were so thrilled to hear this.
I gave him a MP 3 CD with 10 hours of
music and talk.
God is using his people wonderfully.
To God be the glory alone.

My adopted sister Sonia who lives in Lucknow

used her culinary skills to raise money

for her church in Lucknow where she lives.

She was requested by her church board to keep

a food stall at a church sale.

She dished up delicious kebabs with

3 kilos or 6 pounds of mince meat.

And they were snapped up in no time.

That 's a lot of hard work.

She makes lovely food for us whenever

she visits us.

My bloggie friend Penni
creates delightful graphics which she posts
daily to be taken freely.
I love her piquant posts and humour.
She has some BLOG ADVICE.

Halloo Amrita! Thank'ee for the link to my bloggie!

I remember than when Sonia visited, she made some very interesting little patties out of mince meat that had been ground the old-fashioned way with spices and I think with some peas, and then were fried. They looked delectable. What a lovely talent to have!

I am on pins and needles for your package to get to you. Not that it is a big one.

Hi Penni, I am waiting with baited breath for the box (too many Bees there).

Pray Mr Penniwig is feeling better, he will have to take bed rest.
Google is giving me trouble for some reason.

It kept wiping out this post.

Dear Amrita,
Nice learning to know your "uncle", a man of great capacity.
It's also a good thing you are up and out on the net again.
You have become a part of my daily manna.
I'm always inspired when reading your post.

I also have some friends of the family who I still call uncle and aunt, even if they are "just" friends.
A nice and polite thing to do in Norway as well as in India.
Have a good day, my friend.
From Felisol

Your Uncle sounds very special.

What is the name of the instrument you have pictured. Hubby doesn't know the name in English.

Thank you Felisol,
Uncle Anthony is a self made man. He has been faithful to the Lord and sought counsel from godly people. We give his example to some of our own relatives who started out better but got lost along the way.
Indeed the Lord has blessed Anthony, Mary and his entire family. They all are living peacefully.

Dear Sherri, I loved your Harvest Festival photos.

Madison, I was about to comment on your blog when the lights went out, but I will come around again. Its past midnight now.
The musical instrument is called a harmonium.I guess that 's the Engish name. It works a bit like the harmonica.
Its very popular in India.

God works wonderfully to each and everyone of His children. He gives each and everyone individual gifts for use in the strengthening of the church for the glory of God. It is nice to know that the two people whom your parents shared God's message of salvation have now matured and are spreading God's words in their own wonderful ways. God is really good all the time. Thanks for the wonderful post. God bless you always.

shalom. it is a quiet and beautiful Sunday morning here. God is on His heavenly throne and all ( who have sense in their heads) are worshiping Him.
