After yesterday 's adrenalin rush , nervous anticipation and smouldering suspense things have been peaceful. No unpleasant incident has been reported and today was a normal day although security forces will be in place for a week or so because sometimes wounds fester slowly.
The Muslim Board has indicated that it wants to approach the Supreme Court. They have a period of 3 months to do that , until then the court has declared status quo on the situation.
The common man had generally accepted the verdict. But its the self serving politicians and fundamentalist leaders from both sides who are flashing their colors. But seems the case has moved one step forward. But I hope that th e majority fundamentalists don 't use this judgement as a whip to flay the minorities.

Today I called our family doctor to examine my Mom, praise God she is OK. He prescribed some health suplements and pills for some minor problems.
14 Fertilize my soul:
Glad to know your mom is fine, dear.
Thanks for the information on CWG.I was sad to read only negative news about it for the past few weeks.
DEar Amrita,
I'm relaxed to hear the good news about your mother.
Also I feel relatively calm about the religious/political situation in India.
I am actually amazed to learn that there still are 71 nations belonging to the Commonwealth.
Quite a good thing for maintaining peace around the world.
I expect the games will become great entertainment.
You wrote very good news - it is so great, that this situation finished well. Your Mum must be very happy with all family. It's only pity, that there is no Polish team in Delhi. Photos showed me very modern city.
What a super post. I really enjoyed it. A friend of mine is wrestling in the female Australian team (Louise Randle) and she sent some photos to me today of it all. It looks fabulous now....hope it all goes exceedingly well. You've posted some lovely photographs too.
Thank you so much for visiting my blog Ammu ( can I call you that?) :-)
Brilliant post and photos. Great to hear your mum is doing well. Sending you lots of hugs and prayers!!
Dear Amrita & Mom!
We will be praying for your Mom's continued help & healing. Great coverage Amrita on the big games 10/3... you made me understand like I am there with you...
The religious Hindus, Moslems, & you our Sister in Christ! .... that is difficult to realize always.
Thank you for your comments on our blog... and all you pray & do!
Just so you realize.... I am a speed reader .... & like many of us, I get through the day listening, reading, noting....not always able to pause much.
I want you to know I ALWAYS read your blog & so many others... very quickly.. but I read & pray. .... then catch up on some comments. Yes! usually on Fridays! (THE WEEKEND) !
Love to you, always,
in our Lord

Dear Kidj,Gerry, Meryy Lynn,Ash, Zimb, Felisol an d Dr MD, I reall appreciate your comments.
Yes Nia there has bee such a bad publicity around the games and Kalmadi & Friends, Sheila Dixit & Co., Messrs MS Gill are responsible for it.Mani Shankar Aiyyar has abandoned ship an d fled to London. Salman Rushdie said that Bhanot should be spanked for his statement about hygiene standards. He is right. Any way I want to concentrate on the positive side.
But one thing I must say that some of the CW countries responded to the games set up in a colonial manner. Now they are OK.
Hi Felosol, that 's why they say that the sun never set on the British Empire.
Hi Ash you can call me that. I don 't mind.
Oh Zimb, I love watching th e athelets from Poland in the gymnastic arena.Wish they were here.
Hi Merry Lynn, I also speed read blogs, speacially long ones without pictures, (smile). I like pictures and illustrations. Your videos are super, the only thing is that I have a slow Internet connection , so they take ages to play.
Dear Facing 50, Welcome to my blog, having a friend on th e team is so great. Hope your friend i s having a good time in Delhi.I like your blog. I am also approaching half a century , so your blog is relevant and interesting for me. I will be your visitor.

Hi Amrita,
Your blog posts are always so informative and interesting! this is no exception to that!
FYI -- not sure if you have started to use feedlooks.com as a blog tracker -- I have realized they do fall short of consistently being counted on to update properly! I found two new posts of yours today that didn't show up there! But I still find them the best replacement for bloglines. I'm assuming they might be having an overload right now with bloglines users making the switch to them.
this is such a refreshing post. i'd love to go visit india one of these days. such a beautiful country.
God bless you, my friend. and healing to your mom too. (((HUGS)))
Thank Carol-Ann.
No I hav e started my Feedlooks subscription. Blogline s has extended their services till Nov 1st. I am hanging on and then I also use my Dashboard Google Folllowers list- that is pretty satisfactory, it shows the updated blogs according to time. Did you check that out?
Hi Pia, thank you for your ciomment.
