Mahima 's Milestone

Last weekend my neice Mahima got baptised in her church.
Prem, my BIL called up and told us about it. In her testimony she said that she was led to the Lord by her Aunt Amrita.I was surprised as I did not remember leading her to the Lord.
When the kids were small and they used to visit India from Nigeria I used to tell them Bible stories and bed time stories. Maybe it was one of those occasions. But Praise God for it.
During our family prayers Mahima choose a couple of choruses and songs and she would say the first prayer sometimes lapsing into cute Nigerian pidgin English, which we loved to hear.In her childish way she used to repeat some prayer requests again and again and one of us used to interrupt and say,"Mahima you prayed about it before." But she wouldn 't stop unless she was sure the Lord had heard her.
Those were good family worship times.
God bless you Mahima. may you always walk with the Lord.
In the picture you can see her with her Korean friend.

The fact that you did not remember brings the picture to mind of you just walking along in obedience while God is our rear guard gathering the harvest of the seeds you have sown--exactly what Beth just taught us about not being weary in doing good...beautiful..blessings to Mahima...and may God continue to be her rear guard as she walks in obedience like her Aunt Amrita...
Love, Sita

Dear Amrita,
the most important seed is sown among the children. Therefore the teaching of the Bible in schools is so important.
The children who have been under your influence are lucky.
Must be a blessing for you to to watch the harvesting your work.
Sow your seed until the night falls on,the Bible says.
The story of your Mahima inspire us all to carry on.
From your Felisol

Dear Amrita,
I would join with mahima to say, Amrita does sow the seed, in her own way, in many lives, including mine. I am truly happy about that and about Sita. Life looks very bright indeed!

What a precious family story and what a wonderful testimony of God's faithfulness. It shows just how important it is to choose our words and actions wisely and with honor to God.

You obviously have been a strong influence in your neices life for the Lord-how wonderful that you were not even aware of this, that she watched your life and saw the Lord in you. a wonderful testimony!

Yes, what a wonderful testimony. I think that is how we are supposed to be; salt and light and not even aware of it. You never know how your life is testifying to someone. The Lord uses us in ways we'd never dream of.

We never know how much influence we have simply walking quietly with the Lord. St. Francis of Asissi said, "Preach the Gospel, and if you have to, use words."

Praise the Lord for her sweet testimony. You had a bigger impact on sweet Mahima than you realized!:-)

Hi from California. I just joined CWO and found your blog there.
How delightful that your niece credits you with leading her to the Lord.
Probably you are showing her a wonderful example, and that is how you lead her (since you don't recall really leading her).
