Art a ' Trois

My precious artist friend, Shirley Jonas
surprised me this morning by emailing me
me this beautiful painting which she
painted. It is based on a photograph she saw on my
blog.
Thank you so much Shirley.
Shirley has been an Arizona resident for many years. She grew up in a small town in Nebraska and majored in art at the University of Nebraska. Subsequently she moved to Arizona. She married and raised 3 sons. Art has always been a part of her life and after her sons were grown, she turned serious attention to painting.
Shirley especially enjoys the natural beauty she sees around her and always has her camera at the ready for a good subject. She draws inspiration from her travels with her husband around the U. S., Canada and some in Europe. Her works are an ever-evolving learning process of using light, color and form.
She is a juried member of the Arizona Art Alliance, a member of the Scottsdale Artists League and the Phoenix Artists Guild. For a time her paintings were chosen to be displayed in the famed Wrigley Mansion in Phoenix and can now be seen regularly at various spots around Phoenix and Scottsdale and the Valley of the Sun, as well as on this site. Recently several of her works were chosen to be published on the covers of some publications in Arizona's Valley of the Sun.
This is such a brilliant piece of work.
Dear friends please visit Shirley 's
and look at all the masterpieces created
by Shirley and her friends.
You can buy their paintings too.
I want to mention that Shirley is my friend Donetta 's
MIL.Donetta calls her Mother in Love

Thank you friends for your words of apreciation.
Shirley 's painting i truly admirable.I think she has never tralled to India or seen the taj Mahal which is the backdrop of the painting. Even the women and their dresses and facial expressions are dome so beautifully.

Shirley is Donetta 's MIL.

Hi Amrita :)

Happy Easter :)

Your friend Shirley is a very talented and accomplished painter. I have seen this photo in one of your posts. This painting looks exactly the same.In fact it is better. She is a genius with a kind heart.

Please convey my congratulations and best wishes to her.

You had raised two queries in my posts. One is sugian--- this a typical kerala snack just like bonda but it is sweet. It is made of maida filled with coconut and jaggery.

As regards, Little Flower--- This is the name of the saint. I don't know who exactly is this saint. I will find out and let you know later.

I am sure that painting will find a prominent place in your house with a lovely frame.

Have a good Easter, Amrita :)
Joseph
