Today I received a hands on experience of grace
which further gave me an insight into what God has done for us.
In the afternoon I met an administrator to get his
approval of a request. Two other people had already passed it
and now it was up to him to put his signature on it.
When I met him face to face , I realised how closely he adheres to
the rule book. According to him I had not submitted a document
which was required.
Procuring this paper would be a long and difficult task for me.
I asked him to consider my predicament.
And he made me sweat it out in his plush air conditioned office.
But in the end he was very gracious towards me
and signed my plea with a
brotherly caveat.
This is what grace does.
The law ,which is necessary for the orderly functioning of
society is sometimes harsh and relentless.
There are laws which are unfair and unjust too.
But grace is unmerited favour which flows down
to us in our moment of need.
Grace sobers us and makes our hearts
overflow with thankfulness.
As a recipient of God 's grace
I am more blessed than any other person.
16 Out of his fullness we have all received grace in place of grace already given. 17 For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

What a wonderful testimony Amrita..God can even change the hearts of the not so gracious and use them to grant us blessings. I am praising and thanking our Lord Jesus with you that his mercy and grace brought about your need....his grace is always with us that is for certain...Blessings dear sister in Christ.
The Cathedral is beautiful and I am pleased you were blessed with grace when the official made his decision in your favor.
Favourite line: Grace sobers us and makes our hearts
overflow with thankfulness.
So relieved for you! Rejoicing that you were a recipient of "grace" today! :D
What a beautiful and gracious God we serve! His love is just amazing!
And who knows? Maybe the administrator will remember your specific situation and see how God helps those who trust Him.
We are ambassadors for Christ even in the seemingly ordinary and every-day activities of our lives!
Praising God for His goodness and for your life that continues to honor Him!
Fabulous post Amrita. Yes, I agree with you, totally. Praise the LOrd!
Much love,
Julia
WE must and can never stop praying. Grace upon grace is what we can be expecting.
I'm happy for you that your approval was granted.
