My blog and Facebook friend David Schmidt shared that he had made oatmeal cookies. It sounded so good , I could smell the aroma of the freshly baked cookies and wanted to reach out and grab a bunch of his goodies.
I also have a recipe to make them from scratch and I made them ages ago. Not having the chief ingredient - oatmeal, I couldn 't make them that day.
But looking through my kitchen I found a packet of Oatmeal Muffin mix which my sister Anjali had brought for me from Canada. I smiled to myself, if not cookies , it will be oatmeal bread instead. And I made it.
Psalm 145;16 says
You (God) open your hand and satisfy the desires of every living thing.

4 Fertilize my soul:
Well, this brought back memories of my Africa days! There were two things we used to browse through by the hour: the cook book and department store catalogue! So often we'd finally find the perfect recipe with no exotic ingredients (funny how "exotic" differs from place to place) just to realize there was only one egg available and the recipe took three! And no matter how evil an eye we'd cast at Esmeralda, there was no way she could have squeezed out two more eggs for us even if she had wanted! So glad you had that muffin mix!
Yum! Nice treat for rainy days...my mom make wonderful oatmeal, cranberry, walnut cookies...
It sounds good! :)
Yummy! I want to bake something like... I can smell it already!
