Namrita

This is prayer request for my younger sister Namrita.
She is married and lives with her husband and 2 young boys in Meghalaya, N E India.( L-R Namrita and Anjali when they visited us in 2006)
(more recent with her son)
Since the past one week Namrita has been having severe migraines.
She cannot cope without painkillers.
She has a slight swelling on her head too.
A doctor said it could be an injury which she concurred
as a child and is now resurfacing.
She feels very weak and ill.
Cannot bear noise .
She has to go to Guwahati in Assam
for MRI tests and consultation with
a neurologist.
She will travel with her husband on Sunday.
The proceedings will begin on Monday.
My dear baby sister has had many struggles of her own.
Her name means "gentleness" which is included in Gal. 5 fruit of the Spirit list. Namrita is an excellent home maker and teacher, very much loved and respected in her community and school. Pray for healing, correct medical intervention, spiritual comfort and strength.
If I did not have my caregiving responsibilities I would have gone to her.
God is with us in all our trials and troubles.
He never forsakes us even in the toughest of times.

I will certainly keep Namrita in my prayers. I pray the Lord removes all fear and replaces it with His perfect peace, and that he guides and directs the doctors and all the medical staff in her treatment. He is a loving and caring Father..He will take care of his precious child Namrita.

Hi Amrita,
Yes I will pray for your sister- Namrita. By the stripes of Jesus she is healed. Jesus received His lashes for the healing of all our diseases. We only have to claim divine healing in Jesus name. Thanks for the post. God bless you always.

I hope things are better Amrita. Meghalaya takes the cake! Imagine having to travel from let us say Cherapunjee to Guwahatii just for am MRI? Its the pits! What about the Ramakrishna Mission there - do they not have these facilities too. Generally speaking RM Hospitals are good. May God be with all of you....

Dear Julia, she lives in Tura (Meghalaya) It takes a bout 6 hours for them to drive down to Guwahati. Not too bad. They do their medical work there.
Today we saw the battle between the CRPF and the Naxals in W Midnapore - who needs the movies after this reality show. Wonder how many days it will take for the govt. forces to capture Lalgargh...and lives too.
Closer to home the dreaded dacoit Kewat was finally anhilated after a loss of 3 policemen.Sholay re-dux.

Poor Namrita! What an awful thing. I hope that the doctors will diagnose correctly and immediately after the MRI. I know you feel torn in two, Namrita needs you and your mother needs you, too, you cannot be in two places at once, more stress on you AGAIN.

No words of wisdom to share, just that I hope you will realize that you always do your best, you do what you can, and that is enough, don't expect perfection from yourself in trying to take care of your loved ones, YOU DO GREAT, you cannot be Superwoman, and anyway, I would rather have one Amrita than a million Superwomen!

Amrita, of course I will be praying. Can I put your prayer request on my prayer blog? Your sister sounds like such a sweet soul - just like you.

And I will pray peace over your sister and Psalm 107:6, "Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress."

I believe that Amrita. Your sister is so precious to Jesus and he holds her in his arms.

Amrita said...

Yes please Annie, please add this request on your prayer blog. Also pray for her spiritual renewal and growth. She has been discouraged lately.

Thank you Penni, in India we have a saying which goes something like this -
The is only one pomegranate to be divided among a 100 patients.

LOL.
